Independent Electronic Radio

Curated Mixes, Underground Sessions, and Electronic Discovery

Independent electronic radio. House, electro, funk, and underground dance discovery through curated mixes, artist sessions, and human-picked playlists.

Somewhere between a Kerri Chandler deep house set recorded in a basement and a Helena Hauff electro mix that sounds like it was beamed from a decommissioned satellite, there is a frequency worth finding. Unchained Radio exists to help you find it.

We are an independent electronic music platform built on one idea: human curation still means something. No algorithms decide what you hear next. No trending charts. No sponsored placements. Every mix, every session, every playlist on this site was selected by someone who actually sat down, listened, and thought about what belongs next to what.

The scope is broad but intentional. Deep house, raw electro, classic funk edits, nu-disco, leftfield techno, and whatever falls between the cracks of those labels. If it moves and it has something to say, we are interested. If it is factory-assembled content designed to fill dead air, we are not.

The model is closer to what stations like NTS Radio and the late Red Light Radio proved was possible: a small operation with strong ears, putting out programming that trusts the listener. We publish DJ mixes, artist spotlights, hand-built playlists, and editorial writing about the culture around electronic music. Everything is curated by people who spend their own time listening to this music, not by content teams filling a publishing calendar.

Whether you are here for a 90-minute house session to score your afternoon, a deep dive into an independent label's catalog, or a piece about why internet radio keeps finding new reasons to exist, the idea is the same: this is music discovery built on taste, not traffic.
